Tasks
You will take a senior Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer role, contributing in a hands on way while also looking at potential improvement from a more high-level perspective. Your team will consist of people coming from different domains, joining forces to deliver efficient and accurate UAV platforms.
- Define the Control Laws and Algorithm Architecture for the onboard automation systems, including the Flight Controls and Navigation Systems;
- Identifying possible failure modes and defining robust contingency Control Laws to maintain safe flight;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system engineers and mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to plan, design, develop, and integrate GNC solutions into UAVs;
- Defining and running computer simulations for the platforms. (e.g., Matlab & Simulink);
- Work Package Management of a defined scope: actively driving the project work forward to achieve the agreed deliverables on time and within budget;
- Ensuring the integration of the GNC algorithms with the embedded system and executing validation testing.
Requirements
- At least Bachelor's degree in relevant field, such as: GNC Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering;
- 3+ years of industry experience in GNC;
- Experience in non-linear feedback control system design;
- Experience in C development for embedded systems done hands on, not via code generation;
- Experience with modern tools, like version control systems;
- Good communication skills.
