ReOrbit is looking for a motivated and experienced AOCS Engineer to join our growing team in our Helsinki HQ.

As our new AOCS Engineer you will be responsible for leading the development and AIT processes for AOCS components for our spacecraft.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, execution, and maintenance of AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) procedures for AOCS components;
• Assist in defining, implementing, and maintaining operational procedures related to AOCS;
• Train AIT and satellite operators on AOCS procedures and provide technical support, including on-call duties;
• Lead or support AOCS anomaly investigations, collaborating with engineers from various disciplines;
• Perform market research on AOCS components and oversee the integration of new components into satellites, following established protocols;
• Drive the introduction of new AOCS equipment and implement design updates;
• Collaborate with team members for cross functionalities between systems.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
• Experience in designing, operating, and troubleshooting AOCS equipment;
• Solid understanding of astrodynamics and key principles of attitude determination and control;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Proficiency in Python, Git, C, and MATLAB;
• Optionally, hands-on experience with electronic laboratory equipment.
