Job Description

At Alén Space we are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Space Product Assurance Engineer to help ensure that our products and services maintain the highest quality standards.

Position Tasks and Responsibilities

The selected person will take part in the development of:

• Organization’s Quality Policy;
• ISO 9001 certification: maintenance, audits, and follow-up of actions;
• Internal and external audits;
• Process and standards review, identification of customer requirements;
• Preparation, review, and control of quality plans, technical instructions, and procedures;
• Management and communication of quality indicators and improvement proposals;
• Identification and follow-up of risks, anomalies, and Non-Conformities;
• Definition and implementation of Product/Project Quality Assurance Plans;
• Quality support to other areas of the organization, such as Production or AIV (Assembly, Integration & Verification);
• Process, product, or supplier quality inspections;
• Future evolution towards ISO 9100 certification.

Candidate qualifications and skills

The selected candidate should have:

• A degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electronic, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering;
• Experience in managing ISO 9001 Quality Systems;
• At least 3 years of previous experience performing the functions described above.

Highly valued:

• A Master's degree related to the Quality field;
• Formal training in Quality Management Systems;
• Knowledge of:
  • ECSS standards (European Cooperation for Space Standardization);
  • AS/EN 9100 standard (Aerospace Quality Management);
  • IPC standards (Electronics Industry);
  • Dimensional metrology.
