About the Role

The Senior Electrical AIT Engineer leads complex electrical integration and test activities, ensuring the technical excellence and reliability of satellite AIT operations.

He/She acts as a technical reference within the AIT team, driving improvements in test methods, automation, and system performance.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading preparation and execution of complex electrical and functional test campaigns;
  • Supporting EGSE specification, acceptance, and commissioning with suppliers;
  • Implementing and validating CCS configurations, automated test scripts, and data management tools;
  • Guiding junior engineers and operators, providing technical mentorship and troubleshooting expertise;
  • Contributing to test strategy definition, anomaly resolution, and process optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering;
  • 8+ years’ hands-on experience in EGSE system architecture and lab operations for GEO telecom or scientific missions;
  • Demonstrated expertise with SCOE/RF test equipment (up/down converters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators) and EGSE power interfaces;
  • Proven track record in electrical harness design, power distribution and connector qualification for space applications;
  • Strong background in electrical safety, grounding/EMC practices and high-voltage test procedures;
  • Experience specifying, procuring and qualifying space-grade cabling, umbilicals and RF hardware;
  • Ability to lead supplier FAT/SAT cycles and manage non-conformance through to closure;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in lab-based troubleshooting during high-stakes AIT campaigns;
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English for technical documentation and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with RF lab automation (LabVIEW, PXI, or equivalent);
  • Experience with FDIR strategies, fault-injection and redundancy-validation test campaigns;
  • Knowledge of ECSS-E-ST-10, ITU coordination processes or ground-station RF licensing;
  • Prior work managing calibration schedules and MCO workflows in a high-reliability environment.
