The Role:
As an Avionics Flightline Engineer, you will be a critical part of the maintenance and operation of our cargo drones. The role is essential for ensuring the operational readiness and safety of our cargo drones. The Avionics Flightline Engineer will leverage technical skills, practical experience, and meticulous attention to detail to maintain and support our advanced avionics systems.
The Responsibilities:
- Pre-Flight and Post-Flight Inspections: Conduct comprehensive pre-flight and post-flight inspections of avionics systems to ensure airworthiness and readiness.
- System Installation and Maintenance: Install, calibrate, and maintain avionics components such as autopilots, navigation, and communication systems.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair avionics system malfunctions on the flightline to ensure minimal downtime.
- Software Updates: Perform software updates and configuration changes to avionics systems as required.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to the flight operations team regarding avionics issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, and software updates performed.
- Compliance: Ensure all avionics maintenance activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Tool and Equipment Management: Manage and maintain tools and equipment used for avionics maintenance and repairs.
- Safety Practices: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Your Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree or equivalent qualification in avionics, electronics, aeronautics, or a related field.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in avionics maintenance, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in working with avionics components such as autopilots, navigation, and communication systems.
- Digital Interfaces: Knowledge of standard digital interfaces including ARINC429, CAN, RS-232, and RS-485.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex avionics issues.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with avionics software tools and applications.
- Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and documentation of technical work.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in maintenance and documentation tasks.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Certifications (Preferred): Relevant certifications in avionics maintenance and repair.
