Your role:
As a Senior Design Engineer within the mechanical design and definition division, you will play a key role in the conception and development of mechanical systems for our micro-launcher. Reporting to the technical lead (domain leader), you will act as one of the technical references within the team-supporting junior engineers, contributing to design best practices, and taking ownership of complex or time-critical design tasks.
You will collaborate closely with CAD technicians, analysis engineers, and project managers to deliver robust, manufacturable, and innovative mechanical solutions.
Your key responsibilities:
As part of your role, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design activities for critical subsystems or components of the micro-launcher, from early concept through detailed definition;
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD technicians, ensuring high-quality deliverables and efficient design practices;
- Support urgent or complex design needs by handling high-priority design tasks and technical problem-solving when required;
- Ensure technical consistency and compliance by validating designs against performance, manufacturability, assembly, and cost requirements;
- Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, combustion & fluids, analysis, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical solutions.
Your profile:
Education:
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
Experience:
- Senior-level profile with 10+ years of experience;
- Proven track record in conceptual and detailed design of lightweight structures, mechanisms, or propulsion-related hardware.
Technical skills:
- Strong expertise in mechanical design for aerospace applications, including materials selection, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes;
- Solid understanding of design verification principles, including stress analysis fundamentals, assembly methods, and test-readiness considerations;
- Ability to produce and validate technical data such as drawings, Bills of Materials, and tolerance stack-up analyses.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide, support, and motivate others in a collaborative environment;
