Duties

Be responsible for accomplishing tasks in our facilities, including:

• Mechanical and electrical assembly, integration and testing of prototypes and products;
• Environmental testing of the prototypes and products (vibration, thermal vacuum, ..);
• Support and review the mechanical, thermal, and electrical design of the products;
• Ground support equipment design and manufacturing for handling and testing of company products;
• Provide input to the rest of the team from a testing perspective and feed their input back.

Must have

• MSc in University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field;
• Problem solving, hands-on abilities and adaptation skills;
• Hands-on experience with design and assembly of complex assemblies;
• Knowledge or experience/interest in environmental testing;
• Measurement concepts and tools and their application in practice;
• Data acquisition and measurement automation;
• Data analysis, plotting and reporting;
• Experience in CAD;
• Fluent in English;
• Willingness to learn a broad range of engineering topics.

Nice to have

• Experience in production of engineering drawings (mechanical and/or electrical);
• Experience in use of milling machine, lathe, drills, etc.;
• Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C, C++,…);
• Experience with environmental testing (Vibration, thermal,..);
• Experience with optical components and systems: laser diodes, optical fibers (principles and handling), photodiodes…;
• Good organization and planification skills;
• Prior experience in space sector.
