Sybilla Technologies designs, builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver ESA projects end-to-end - from contract kick-off through execution, reviews, and formal closure;
  • Translate contractual and technical requirements into clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables;
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and quality in line with ESA governance and Statements of Work;
  • Act as the main point of contact for ESA stakeholders, ensuring transparent and proactive communication;
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams and external partners;
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and review materials in compliance with ESA standards;
  • Manage risks, changes, and deviations in line with contractual procedures;
  • Support proposal preparation by defining work packages and execution approaches;
  • Drive proper project closure, lessons learned, and continuous improvement within the PMO.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in technical, engineering, or IT environments;
  • Experience delivering projects for institutional, public, or international clients (ESA or similar strongly preferred);
  • Strong understanding of project governance, contractual compliance, and formal reporting;
  • Proven ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and multidisciplinary teams;
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills;
  • Fluency in English at C1 level or higher;
  • MSc in Engineering, Science, or related STEM field;
  • Ability to work effectively within formal review processes and structured change management frameworks.

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with ESA, ESO, NCBiR, or European institutional projects;
  • Background in grant-funded or publicly financed programs;
  • Fluency in German (at C1 level or higher);
  • Interest in Space, Astronomy, Earth observation, or scientific R&D projects.

Terms of employment

  • Remote-first work model (HQ in Poland – Bydgoszcz/Zielonka);
  • Full-time role with flexible working hours;
  • Compensation: EUR 48–53 net/hour (B2B) or EUR 6,500–7,500 gross/month (employment contract). Please note that final compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s region and qualifications;
