What do we expect from you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent degree in a related field
- Good knowledge of structural and thermal analysis methods
- Familiarity with space industry standards (ECSS and MIL) for manufacturing and testing
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles for electronic components and assemblies
- High level of enthusiasm and initiative, combined with a strong team spirit and the ability to collaborate effectively on large-scale projects
- Resilience, self-confidence and the ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German is an advantage
What are your responsibilities?
- Development of 3D models of components and assemblies using Inventor or SolidWorks
- Preparation of accurate 2D drawings including dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing notes
- Performing 2D tolerance stack-up analyses for sub-assemblies using spreadsheets or manual calculations
- Creation, maintaining and reviewing of technical documents such as MICDs, test procedures, and specifications
- Updating models and drawings based on design reviews, test results, and stakeholder feedback
- Selection of appropriate materials for components and preparation of documentation for manufacturing handover
- Maintaining accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and part numbering systems
- Close collaboration with senior engineers, manufacturing, and quality teams
