ReOrbit is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior AOCS Engineer to join our growing team in our Helsinki HQ.

As a Senior AOCS Engineer you will be contributing to our satellites design, integration and testing through the hole life cycle of our satellites, both in LEO & GEO orbits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AOCS algorithms, both for attitude and orbit control, including updates to Simulation and Flight SW code;
• Collaborate closely with the Propulsion & Mission Analysis experts to define and implement orbital maneuvers capabilities required by different satellites;
• Contribute to the development, execution, and maintenance of AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) & Operations procedures for AOCS components;
• Train AIT and satellite operators on AOCS procedures and provide technical support, including on-call duties;
• Lead AOCS anomaly investigations, collaborating with engineers from various disciplines;
• Perform market research on AOCS components and oversee the integration of new components into satellites, following established protocols;
• Collaborate with team members for cross functionalities between systems.

Skills and Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in AOCS roles;
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
• Solid understanding of astrodynamics and key principles of both Attitude & Orbit determination and control;
• Experience in designing, operating, and troubleshooting AOCS equipment;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Proficiency in C, Python, Git, Octave and GMAT;
• Hands-on experience with electronic laboratory equipment is a plus.
