Senior Electrical AIT Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead and Co-ordinate all phases of AIT for a Payload;
• Perform electrical integration of the unit under test (UUT) to test benches/test equipment;
• Prepare, implement and support EVT campaigns, including procedures and bespoke EGSE;
• Produce test plans/procedures from test specifications to ensure requirements are met and verified;
• Perform functional and performance testing;
• Create automated test scripts to control/test the UUT and the supporting electrical ground support equipment (EGSE);
• Produce technical reports after test execution;
• Adhere to Cleanroom procedures and protocols ensuring all policies are followed;
• Be responsible for the maintenance and validation of EGSE;
• Schedule and plan for AIT support for all activities;
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders;
• Experience in the space industry, phased array antennas and on-board processing technology is also desirable.

Suitable candidates will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Maths or Physics. Master’s degree;
• A proven knowledge of testing processes, cycles and approaches;
• Experience with Satellite AIT and flows;
• Experience with working with and configuring Linux based systems including shell commanding;
• 5+ years of experience in communications system engineering;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers;
• Experience of providing inputs to proposals from ESA.
