For this role, you will...

  • ... design, build, and iterate electric propulsion hardware, test equipment and tools;
  • ... plan and execute vacuum chamber testing, performance characterization, and environmental testing;
  • ... troubleshoot test anomalies and rapidly iterate designs based on test results;
  • ... analyze test data and operational data and correlate results with models;
  • ... write and maintain development documentation, test plans, and reports;
  • ... research materials, technologies and suppliers;
  • ... support manufacturing, assembly, and integration of propulsion hardware;
  • ... support qualification and acceptance testing;
  • ... work closely together with other teams in development and production.

Job requirements

We should get to know each other if you…

  • ... have a M.Sc in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar;
  • ... have strong fundamentals in plasma physics, electric propulsion, or spacecraft propulsion;
  • ... have several years of experience in the design and testing of electric propulsion systems, bonus is having experience with FEEP (field emission electric propulsion);
  • ... have experience with product development, having worked on products that have been used by customers;
  • ... have hands-on experience with vacuum systems and lab testing for hardware development;
  • ... have experience with data analysis, using python or similar tools;
  • ... have experience with test planning and writing technical reports.
