Your mission
As a Senior Analysis Engineer for mechanical space components, you are the analysis lead in complex development projects and act as a technical expert. You will:
- Perform detailed dynamic (sine and random) analyses of complex mechanisms with focus on dynamic architecture, lightweight design and cost effective design solutions;
- Perform detailed stress analysis of aerospace structures and components using both classical hand calculations and advanced finite element methods (FEM);
- Identify failure scenarios and collaborate with design engineers to review and optimize structural designs;
- Basic knowledge of fracture and crack growth analyses of mechanical components would be beneficial;
- Analyze and provide possible solutions to manufacturing non-conformities;
- Defines testing criteria and prepares test requirements, supports testing activities and evaluates test results and performs correlations of corresponding models to verify sizing assumptions and qualify hardware;
- Prepare comprehensive stress analysis reports and documentation for internal/external use;
- Improve our standards and toolchain for structural verification;
- Be familiar with classical design standards and have experience in the use of CAD software;
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the team;
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability growth.
Your story
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in mechanical, thermal, mechatronics, structural or similar engineering fields;
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role in aerospace industry;
- Profound knowledge in classical hand-calculations and advanced FE Modelling of aerospace structures (Simcenter NX preferred);
- High degree of independence and confidence in assessing and trading design risks;
- Strong engineering intuition with regards to load paths and failure mechanisms;
- Multiple years of experience using CAD;
- Fluency in English, German nice to have;
- Who you are: Curious, collaborative, decisive, and passionate about high‑quality engineering.
