What will you do?
- Coordinate technical groups for design, trade-off analysis, development, and verification of critical subsystems.
- Assess customer and mission needs to define system requirements and ensure compatibility of all interfaces.
- Develop and maintain spacecraft system architecture, ensuring consistency across all subsystems.
- Lead design coherence and verification for:
- OBDH: operational modes, redundancy, FDIR, data buses, TM/TC.
- Propulsion: chemical/electric architectures, mission integration, AOCS interfaces.
- AOCS: sensors, actuators, control algorithms, operational modes.
- Communication systems: telemetry, telecommand, RF and SDR platforms.
- Electrical Power Subsystem: applicability and coordination with responsible teams.
- Coordinate cross-discipline activities such as Ground Segment and Flight Operations interfaces.
- Perform trade-off analyses, simulations, and optimization of mass, power, cost, and performance at system level.
- Lead troubleshooting and anomaly resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation: requirements, ICDs, design reviews, and verification plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure spacecraft architecture meets mission requirements.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering (PhD is a plus).
- 10+ years of experience in relevant roles within aerospace systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystems.
- Experience in technical leadership and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with MBSE philosophy and ECSS standards.
- Hands-on approach to cross-functional technical issues.
- Fluent English (B2 minimum).
- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Madrid.
