Your Tasks

• Mechanical Design of complex light weight structures for space projects, with emphasis on deployment systems
• Design of passive deployment systems e.g. hinges and/or active mechanisms like motor-driven devices or active deployment systems
• Conceptual design and dimensioning of modules and individual components
• Creation of manufacturing documentation such as component and assembly drawings and parts lists
• Support to deployment- vibration- and shock-tests of structures
• Preparation of design and test documentation
• Presentation of designs to customers

Your skills and experience

• Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or related disciplines
• Proficiency in CAD Systems, preferably Solid Works
• Knowledge in passive and/or active mechanism design
• Knowledge in FEM Systems preferred, but not mandatory
• Systematic and independent working style
• Pro-active approach to problem solving, pragmatism, flexibility
• Team player, good communication skills
• Fluent in English – good knowledge of German would be a definite advantage
