Summary

Perform Systems Engineering (aka Technical Project Management) throughout Study, Development, Qualification and Production phases, to achieve and maintain qualification of product. Is the technical responsible for identified critical sub-systems (such as separation mechanism) of the company portfolio.

Your Mission

  • Leads and coordinates technical activities as engineering responsible with the objective to meet requirements within the given budget and agreed schedule.
  • Leads and coordinates technical proposals, quotations, concept work and trade studies.
  • Supports processes and product continuous improvements. Propose market-oriented initiatives to improve existing technologies and production processes
  • Breaks down the technical requirements to subsystems generating specifications for customers, suppliers andsubcontractors. Tracks the requirements’ compliance status.
  • Plans technical work packages, e.g. through the Design Development and Verification Plan.
  • Writes and reviews technical specifications, project related deliverables and other documents (e.g. Test Plan, drawings, changes)
  • Carries out continuous technical risk management and perform Root Cause Analyses.
  • Provides engineering support to production.
  • Represents engineering during negotiations and reviews with customers and suppliers or subcontractors. Is the engineering point of contact for customers.

Your Story

  • University master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in System Engineering or Technical Project Management in the space or aerospace sector.
  • Proven expertise with composites systems or mechanism.
  • Experience in the architecture, design & development of aerospace systems, based on defined performance, cost and reliability targets.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (German is a plus), with strong writing and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have’s:

  • Experience with requirements management tools and databases/systems, e.g. DOORs, Polarion.
  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry and market.
  • Leadership experience.
