ThrustMe is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer at ThrustMe, to develop the advanced embedded software powering our propulsion systems, you will work on challenging problems involving complex electronic subsystems that require both high performance and exceptional reliability, all while operating in the extreme conditions of the space environment.

As part of the Engineering Team, you will operate at the intersection of cutting-edge research and industrialization, transforming innovative concepts into flight-ready systems that will shape the future of space propulsion.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and integrate embedded software for electronic subsystems used in propulsion systems.
  • Develop software tools used to test, validate, and operate electronic subsystems.
  • Contribute to the digital design of electronic subsystems in close collaboration with hardware teams.
  • Implement software-based radiation mitigation strategies to ensure system robustness in space environments.
  • Define, execute, and document verification and validation activities for embedded software.
  • Write design documentation, technical reports, and contribute to design reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (electronics, mechanical, systems, physics, and industrialization) to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes, ensuring alignment with aerospace quality standards and best practices.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in embedded software development (C/C++ or similar low-level languages).
  • Solid understanding of digital electronics and embedded architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration, debugging, and testing.
  • Ability to develop test software for validation and automation purposes.
  • Familiarity with radiation effects mitigation techniques in software is a plus.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) is an asset.
