Boeing Poland is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer (Associate, Experienced or Senior) level - to join the Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) team located in Warsaw or Rzeszow, Poland.

The successful candidate will be performing simulation & structural analysis work, co-developing Scope of Work, supporting BDS technical leadership. The person in this role will be responsible for Structural Analysis technical deliverables, representing and supporting the team during technical reviews.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports BDS technical leadership in development of Statement of Work (SoW), technical mentoring, project planning, execution and monitoring;
  • Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance;
  • Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications;
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied;
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements, working under general supervision.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform most work onsite at the listed location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences);
  • Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as aircraft structure, materials and properties, design criteria, release processes, aircraft structural analysis;
  • 3+ years of experience performing stress analysis (static and fatigue) with hand calculations and finite element tools using Hypermesh/PATRAN/NASTRAN;
  • Experience in engineering and product qualification testing (static, fatigue, vibration, windmilling, life cycling). Understanding of test plans and test procedures creation;
  • Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English;
  • Self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Level 4: 12 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring younger engineers;
  • Proven leadership experience including cost and schedule estimation, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS);
  • Experience in metallic structures static analysis (composite experience is a plus);
  • Experience in usage of analytical (handcalc) tools, Common Structures Workstation and StressCheck;
  • Knowledge in damage tolerance analysis and inspection methods;
  • Experience working with airplane certification projects involving FAA approval;
  • Significant aerospace experience;
  • Experience in working within a cross-functional interpersonal environment;
  • Strong technical leadership capabilities such as effective communication and the ability to delegate tasks together with experience in presenting to employees, customers, peers and all levels of management.
