Mission Brief

As part of the Launch Vehicle AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely integration activities. In addition, you will be participating in the change management process and work together with relevant stakeholders to drive up key performance indicators (KPIs) and follow-up on non-conformities.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

  • Create, maintain, and optimize the launch vehicle AIT workflows.
  • Manage operational interfaces of the launcher integration team like the Testing, Logistics or Quality Assurance teams.
  • Manage and improve the vehicle integration timeline.
  • Create efficient tooling to plan, monitor, and optimize launcher integration activities.
  • Participate in and drive engineering change management processes concerning launcher integration topics from initial change request through final hardware. implementation on flight and nonflight systems.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the non‑conformance process by assessing criticality, defining scope of impact, and developing/validating corrective and preventive actions.
  • Act as AIT representative to internal stakeholders - including Design Engineering, Launch Operations, and Production - ensuring AIT requirements are understood and integrated into cross-functional decision-making.
  • Identify, lead, and implement internal process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing rework, and strengthening data flow within AIT.
  • Ensure safe execution of launcher integration activities by implementing PPE, ESD, and HSE rules together with the HSE team.
  • Develop and realise concepts for AIT facilities across all Isar Aerospace sites.

Qualification Checklist

  • BSc/MSc in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or similar.
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to drive technical decisions or resolution of risks with system owners.
  • Extensive experience in project management.
  • Clean, organized, and structured way of work.
  • Basic knowledge in Python, C++, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software.
  • Fluent in English.

Bonus Skills:

  • Previous experience within assembly and test of complex systems (medical, aerospace, automotive or similar).
  • Basic understanding of common systems within the aerospace industry (mechanics, avionics, pressurized systems, engines).
