(Senior) Mechanical Development Engineer - Drone Technologies

As a development engineer, you will be a key part of our Mechanical Hardware Design team to bring your own ideas to the CAD design of new products. Together with our world-class team, currently 9 team members, you will take an empowering role: pushing the boundaries of drone technologies.

You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Electronics, Prototyping and System Test department to solve complex problems in a goal-oriented manner and drive innovation. Development of mechanical systems to Quantum-Systems - your mission will be a powerful impact.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Development and design of UAV structural components and manufacturing tools (CATIA V5)
  • Design and calculation (MATLAB, Python, VB.NET, Excel)
  • Creation of technical drawings and manufacturing documents
  • Integration of subsystems and payload in UAV on the hardware level
  • Construction and testing of prototypes and support of small series production
  • Product maintenance
  • Development of the process chain of the Mechanical Hardware Design department

What you bring to the team:

  • You have completed an university degree in in the field of aerospace, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering.
  • You have min. 2 years practical experience in CAD development and working with a PLM system.
  • You have good working knowledge of CATIA V5 and familiarity with common plastics manufacturing processes.
  • You are privately interested in modeling or 3D printing.
  • Due to your open, communicative, friendly and competent attitude, it is easy for you to be considered as an internal expert.
  • You are highly self-motivated and drive your area of responsibility independently.
  • Communication in English is a matter of course for you.
