Are you passionate about designing and defining complex systems in the fields of satellite navigation, radiofrequency engineering, and high‑performance communication technologies?
Do you want to contribute to advanced GNSS and space‑related programmes, taking part in requirements definition, system architecture and technical coordination?
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with strong knowledge in GNSS systems, RF concepts, MBSE methodologies and systems engineering best practices, to support strategic engineering activities within cutting‑edge defence and navigation programmes.
YOUR MISSION
As a Systems Engineer, you will support the design, specification and analysis of GNSS‑based and RF‑driven systems, ensuring the correct definition, traceability and validation of requirements while coordinating engineering activities across technical teams.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform requirements analysis, definition and traceability, using DOORS or similar tools;
Participate in the conception, specification and design phases of complex systems;
Support the design and modelling of GNSS systems, including:
GNSS system concepts;
GNSS signals and performance;
RF interference detection, mitigation and geolocation.
Analyse RF and radiofrequency subsystems, including link budgets, RF/baseband chains and performance evaluation;
Work with laboratory instrumentation and contribute to instrumentation management (spectrum/network analysers, signal generators, etc.);
Apply MBSE (Model‑Based Systems Engineering) with tools such as Capella or Enterprise Architect;
Produce high‑quality technical documentation, architecture descriptions and specifications;
Ensure alignment with relevant engineering standards including ESA ECSS or similar frameworks;
Support coordination of engineering activities across multidisciplinary teams;
Contribute to problem‑solving efforts in complex technical environments.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
Telecommunications Engineering (specialised in Communications), or Aerospace Engineering with knowledge of GNSS systems.
Experience
Experience in systems engineering best practices, especially during early lifecycle phases: conception, specification and design;
Hands‑on experience with requirements management tools (DOORS or similar);
Knowledge and experience with JIRA or other tracking/project management tools;
Understanding of GNSS architecture, signals, performance and RF interference mechanisms;
Understanding of radiofrequency engineering concepts:
Link budgets;
RF and baseband subsystems.
Experience in instrumentation management (advanced);
Experience with MBSE tools: Capella, Enterprise Architect or similar.
