Collaborate with SIV team to define hardware infrastructure for satellite-level test and verification activities, including scalable interface boards for checkout campaigns;
Develop multiplexing concepts for the flatsat, enabling equipment to be connected flexibly to multiple endpoints for various communication protocols;
Work with hardware and SIV teams to identify equipment-level integration and checkout needs, then design and implement interface and checkout boards that help scale production, integration and test workflows;
Design and implement electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) concepts for various satellite missions;
Support bring-up of equipment and hardware systems using the infrastructure you have developed;
Support integration and validation activities on our Flatsat and Engineering Models;
Support harness definition for flatsat and satellite EGSE setups.
Your Background:
Must-have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience;
You have several years of hands-on experience as a Hardware Engineer or in a similar position;
Experience using Altium, Eagle or another PCB design tool;
Experience with the hardware development lifecycle, from early requirements definition to design, procurement, assembly and board bring-up;
Hands-on familiarity with lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic loads;
Ability to bring up and troubleshoot hardware independently;
Experience developing and executing Python scripts for test, automation and hardware support tasks.
Nice-to-have:
Comfortable working in Ubuntu/Linux environments and using the command line as part of your daily workflow;
Experience with Git, Gitlab and CI/CD systems;
Experience in the aerospace industry, ideally with direct exposure to hardware;
Experience with Mechanical 3D design tools.
