Design structural components and assemblies for satellite platforms and their subsystems.
Generate detailed 3D models and production-ready drawings using CAD software (preferably Siemens NX).
Develop and maintain design documentation including specifications, analysis reports, and design review materials.
Support mechanical and structural testing, verification, and validation activities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including thermal, systems, electrical, and integration engineers to ensure seamless system-level functionality.
Interface with suppliers and customers to ensure manufacturability, compliance, and smooth integration.
Apply GD&T practices and Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles for efficient and cost-effective production.
Your Background:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience also considered.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in structural design, preferably space industry.
Proficiency with CAD tools – Siemens NX preferred.
Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Solid background on manufacturing with processes like CNC machining, turning, etc.
Familiarity with structural analysis tools (e.g., FEM software like NASTRAN, Optistruct, Simsolid, Inspire, or similar) is a plus.
Experience in designing for space applications (e.g., satellite subsystems, launch environments, vibration and thermal considerations) is highly advantageous.
Strong technical documentation skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Don't forget to mention Space-Careers when applying.
