Wizz Air is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the cross-functional implementation of Starlink connectivity across the airline, while also supporting a broader portfolio of strategic and operational projects within the Product & Ancillaries domain.
Reporting to the Head of Product & Ancillaries, the successful candidate will coordinate all workstreams required to deliver onboard connectivity, including Engineering, Flight Operations, IT, Commercial, Legal, Marketing, and external partners. Beyond the Starlink programme, the role will also take ownership of additional cross-functional initiatives as they arise, acting as a Product Portfolio Manager within the function.
The role will further be responsible for identifying and implementing monetization opportunities related to ancillary products, including innovative onboard and inflight sales concepts (e.g. destination-based activities and services offered during the flight).
The position ensures strong programme governance, timeline management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment, driving projects from implementation through to successful launch and commercial optimization.
Responsibilities:
Programme Leadership
Own the end-to-end programme plan and delivery roadmap.
Coordinate multiple workstreams and ensure alignment across departments.
Drive programme governance and reporting.
Organize and facilitate steering committees, working groups and project reviews.
Monitor programme risks, issues and dependencies.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the central point of coordination between business, operational and technical teams.
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization.
Escalate critical issues and decision points in a timely manner.
Ensure clear communication across all project participants.
Vendor Management
Coordinate activities with Starlink and other external partners.
Track contractual deliverables and implementation milestones.
Ensure timely resolution of vendor-related issues and dependencies.
Delivery Management
Develop and maintain detailed project plans.
Track milestones, budgets, risks and resource requirements.
Drive accountability across workstream owners.
Ensure readiness for testing, launch and post-launch support.
Reporting
Prepare executive-level status updates.
Provide regular progress reports to programme sponsors and senior leadership.
Maintain programme dashboards and KPIs.
Experience:
Required Experience
Programme or project management experience.
Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
Strong stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior executives.
Proven ability to manage multiple dependencies and competing priorities.
Experience working with external vendors and technology partners.
Preferred Experience
Airline industry experience.
Experience with digital transformation or technology implementation programmes.
Knowledge of airline operations, engineering, flight operations or ancillary revenue products.
PMP, Agile or equivalent programme management certification.
Experience with Starlink implementation is preferred, but not mandatory.
