What you'll do

• Perform detailed structural and structural/thermal analyses and sizing of aerospace structures, components, and systems;
• Guide structural optimization and design improvements;
• Deliver detailed FEM Models used for analysis, from GFEM to detailed analysis;
• Define sizing loads and load cases required for scoping detailed analysis;
• Deliver preliminary sizing calculations, hand calculations, and simplified estimates to inform the design;
• Support ground and flight tests;
• Deliver detailed technical reports and presentations;
• Assist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and procedures;
• Support the definition and execution of the qualification and certification process.

Requirements

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline;
• 5-10 years of experience as an aerospace stress engineer;
• Experience in Turbomachinery sector;
• FEM experience, from building models to analysis, postprocessing, and debugging;
• Experienced with stress-hand calculation/analytical methods;
• Experience with both metallic and composite lightweight structural design for aerospace;
• Experience with Matlab;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of the English language is required. Knowledge of Dutch, Spanish, French, or German language is an advantage;
• You are resilient, open to change, and manage stress positively.
