RAMS Engineer

TXT E-Tech S.r.l (TXT GROUP) is looking for a RAMS Engineer to join the Embedded Systems for Aerospace Applications Business Unit.

The selected candidate will be responsible for RAMS analyses and activities applied to safety-critical avionics systems within the Aerospace & Defense domain.

Main responsibilities

  • Support RAMS and Functional Safety activities across a range of on-board systems; 
  • Responsibility for safety and reliability assessments, including FHA, PSSA, SSA, FTA, FMECA, CMA and RBD analyses; 
  • Collaboration with Systems, Hardware and Software teams to ensure alignment between system architecture, requirements and RAMS evaluations; 
  • Support in interactions and discussions with customers.

Indispensable technical skills

  • Previuos experience in RAMS, Functional Safety, Reliability, and System Engineering activities applied to complex systems; 
  • Practical experience with safety and reliability analyses such as FMEA/FMECA, FTA, FHA, and Safety Requirements definition; 
  • Solid understanding of complex control systems and system engineering methodologies and familiarity with aerospace or other highly regulated industries (e.g. automotive, railway, industrial sectors); 
  • Basic knowledge of aerospace safety standards such as ARP4754B and ARP4761, or equivalent standards in other domains (e.g. ISO 26262); 
  • Familiarity with and requirements management solutions like DOORS.

Optional technical skills

  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools, including tools for functional safety analysis;
  • Familiarity with software safety standards such as DO-178C and hardware standards like DO-254;
  • Experience with reliability prediction standards (e.g. MIL-HDBK-217, FIDES); 
  • Experience with scripting or data analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB, Python) for reliability/safety evaluations; 
  • Familiarity with verification & validation plans and testing strategies for safety-critical systems; 
  • Understanding of cybersecurity aspects in safety-critical systems (e.g. DO-326A or similar frameworks).

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
