Are you an engineer with a solid technical background in aerospace systems and a passion for complex products?
Join our multidisciplinary engineering team and contribute to the evolution of VEGA-C, one of Europe's flagship launch vehicles.
As a Launch Vehicle System Engineer, you will work at system level, integrating different engineering disciplines and ensuring that technical solutions are consistent with the overall launch vehicle architecture, applicable requirements and mission objectives.
The role is particularly suited to engineers who have already developed solid technical expertise through systems engineering, technical product development or a specialist engineering discipline, and who are looking to broaden their responsibilities toward system-level engineering.
Your Mission
As a Launch Vehicle System Engineer, you will contribute to the definition, evolution and qualification of the VEGA-C launch system, as well as to the preparation of launch missions.
Working at system level, you will ensure the coherence between system architectures, technical solutions and applicable requirements, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities throughout the production phase and mission preparation.
Your responsibilities will include
Reviewing and verifying high-level system architectures, development approaches and the logic for product evolution, qualification and validation throughout the different project phases;
Defining and maintaining system technical requirements and specifications, and verifying the consistency of the design and technical solutions with the applicable requirements;
Preparing and reviewing system technical documentation, including technical specifications, engineering analyses, test and simulation results, ensuring consistency, reliability and safety of the product;
Coordinating Systems Engineering activities, including mission analyses, system/product layouts and architecture studies, ensuring that analyses and studies provide the required outputs and are consistent with specified requirements;
Supporting and coordinating verification, validation and qualification activities, including the definition and implementation of the relevant development and qualification logic;
Defining and managing launcher-to-payload interfaces, including mechanical, electrical and fluidic interfaces;
Supporting the investigation and resolution of flight, production and launch campaign anomalies from a system perspective;
Acting as a technical interface with customers, ESA, CNES and industrial partners during mission preparation and launcher development activities.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
