    Context

     
    SES Techcom services is levering on the technical expertise accumulated within the SES Group by operating satellites for more than 25 years and provides technical services to the Satellite Industry on a worldwide basis.
     

    As Project Manager of SES TechCom, you are  both supporting the attraction and responsible for the successful management and realisation of projects. You will also responsible for identifying the required resources and will manage the various internal/external contractors and suppliers in an integrated approach towards the Customers.

    Your mission consists in the successful realization of projects that will support SES TechCom  to become a leading supplier of technical products/services, systems and applications in the field of satellite-related engineering and operations.

    Responsibilities

    • - Support the attraction of contracts by supporting the various ‘request for proposal’ phases like proposal preparation, proposal handover and negotiation, contract set-up.
    • - Either support or be responsible to:
      o Design, specify and implement Satellite Control Systems (e.g. RF TT&C systems including the tracking antennas, Baseband and control room systems, Satellite ranging systems, transportable or mobile uplink or receive-only stations).
      o Design, specify and manage the integration of measurement and monitoring & control systems (including IOT and M&C Systems)
      o Design, specify and implement one-way and two-way satellite communication plat-forms/systems
      o Manage/realize other telecommunications related projects
      o Collect customer requirements, set up cost budgets, handle procurements, manage installations, document systems and prepare the handover to Customers.
      o Contribute or manage the set-up of cost/pricing templates in the frame of proposal set-up and with respect to contract realizations.
    • - Use professional project management tools as appropriated to report and document project progress
    • - Coordinate with other functions (Project Control, Legal, Finance) for the transparent and effective realization of assigned projects
    • - Follow-up of delivered systems during lifetime operations and more specifically during war-ranty periods
    • - Manage customer relationships
    • - Support the yearly preparation of SES TechCom Operational Expenses budgets
    • - Provide reporting inputs when required
    • - Follow-up the market w.r.t. products, services and systems of interest for SES TechCom’s business
    • - Promote the SES TechCom Products and Services in the Satellite Industry and Satellite Communication Markets.
    • - Travel as required for promotion and project realization purposes

    Experience / Qualifications

    • - Have a university degree in RF, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
    • - Minimum  5 years of working experience in engineering and implementing telecommunications systems
    • - Experience of having worked with institutional customers and international organizations would be considered as an asset
    • - Have excellent and proven project management experience
    • - Be able to integrate into and/or lead cross-functional project teams
    • - Have good communication capabilities, analytical sense, self-starting qualities, coordination and priority setting abilities;
    • - Proactive approach towards potential customers
    • - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • - Fluency in English; any other language is considered an asset
    • - Experienced in the daily usage of office and communication software (Lotus Notes, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project…)
    • - !!! Only candidates with valid Luxembourg work permit can be accepted
