    Context

     

    SES TechCom Services is levering on the technical expertise accumulated within the SES Group by operating satellites for more than 25 years and provides technical services to the Satellite Industry on a worldwide basis.
     
    To reinforce its Products & Services Development team, SES Techcom is looking for a Product Manager


    The Product Manager is responsible for IP and Satellite Communications products and their life cycle. At the epicenter between Markets, Sales and Technology he/she is defining the value proposition and managing products that address market demand in the B2B2C (Consumer), B2B (Enterprise/Telco’s) and Institutional (e-education, e-medicine, e-government) segments.

    Responsibilities

    • Productisation and go-to-market of existing SBBS communication solutions so that they can be commercialized on a global geographic scope.
       
    • Establishment of new products and services including the idea generation, value proposition, con-cept development and market testing in close coordination with the internal technology teams and external partners.
       
    • Establishment and follow-through of product business cases.
       
    • Drive internal and external product development priorities.
       
    • Manage product features and development roadmap of existing SBBS product portfolio (covering the full eco-system and life cycle of the product).
       
    • Ensure that existing IP broadband products and services follow market demand and continue to match customer expectations.
       
    • Promote awareness and create demand for relevant products through customer visits, speaker opportunities, product demos etc. at events, conferences and other suitable occasions.
       
    • Lead teams across business (internally and externally) incl. customers and market partners.
       
    • Support relations with national and international research and supporting organizations such as the European Space Agency (ESA)
       
    • Be accountable for the market success of the product / service.

    Experience / Qualifications

    • Product Management Expert (at least 5 years of professional industry relevant experience)
       
    • Solid and up-to-date knowledge of the Telecommunications Industry with proven track record in defining and successfully taking products to the market.
       
    • Bachelor/Master degree (ideally with MBA)
       
    • In-depth understanding of product/project related financing
       
    • Result driven, able to coordinate internal and external partners.
       
    • Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
       
    • Drive, engagement and creative thinking to bring new concepts to the front.
       
    • Able to produce meaningful market assessments and recommendations.
       
    • Fluency in English, German and French are considered as additional assets.
