LEO Mission Planning Engineer
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
As part of the Mission Planning team in the Flight Operations Division, you will have the following responsibilities:
Supporting the development and procurement of the MPS and related tools;
Analysing and reviewing EPS-SG documentation and preparing technical notes;
Participating in reviews for the MPS and related facilities;
Participating in MPS factory or on-site acceptance testing;
Analysing & reporting on test results, requirement verification and validation;
Proposing changes to the MPS or related tools and contributing to the process for implementing such changes;
Handling MPS related anomaly reports (ARs) and non-conformance reports (NCRs);
Participating in the installation and verification of the MPS and related tools;
Defining the MPS operational implementation (rules, database structures);
MPS related documentation such as the Operational Implementation document and the MPS User Operations Guide;
Interacting with internal users, suppliers and partner organisations;
Providing procurement support to other future missions, notably Jason-CS.
Skills & Experience
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
University degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline;
LEO mission planning system specification, development, procurement and ops;
AIV activities, preferably in the field of space mission planning systems;
Mission planning rules using a Java-like Business Rules Management System;
XML, Linux/Unix operating system, Software Version Control Systems, Software Configuration Management Systems;
Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
