One of our clients based in the UK is looking for a GNSS+ AOCS Equipment Senior Engineer. The candidate will be involved in project engineering and development within the GNSS+ AOCS equipment team.
Signal tracking design for spaceborne GNSS receivers and GNSS remote sensing (reflectometry and radio occultation) instruments.
Designing, implementing and maintaining spaceborne GNSS Receivers.
Catalogue and Process measurements taken from active satellites.
Interfacing with internal and external customers and collaborating institutions.
Undertake requirements capture, performance trades and design activities.
Development, enhancement and maintenance of products.
Development of production and testing solutions.
Test planning, test and verification of the design.
Supervision of production for satellite hardware.
Work within and ensure application of company processes.
Maintaining cost, managing risks and schedule.
Maintain performance, schedule and budget.
The candidate must have the minimum of an MSc or BSc in a relevant discipline.
Skills and experience
Experience processing and assessing GNSS measurements.
Experience with small satellites and or satellite AOCS systems and equipment would be an advantage.
Experience producing position solutions from GNSS measurements.
Experience assessing GNSS tracking loop bandwidths and interactions.
Software experience in digital receivers would be an advantage.
Real time operating systems for embedded solutions would be an advantage.
Excellent verbal communications and presentations skills.
Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to generate high quality technical documentation.
Excellent organisational, management and team working skills.
Ability to deliver complex electronics products.
Proven ability to deliver solutions under pressure and to tight timescales.
Requires a dedicated, innovative and pragmatic approach.
The candidate must also have the following knowledge:
Knowledge of GNSS systems (.e.g. GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BEIDOU, QZSS, SBAS).
Understanding of GNSS tracking loops and measurements.
Knowledge of GPS remote sensing techniques (e.g. Radio Occultation and Reflectometry.
Exposure to VHDL and C++ in digital signal processing.
Knowledge of Attitude, Orbit and Control Systems would be an advantage.
Orbit dynamic knowledge and skills in Matlab would be an advantage.
