We are currently looking for a Galileo Ground Segment Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany.
Galileo Ground Segment Operations Engineer
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
As part of the Ground Operations Team, you will have the following responsibilities:
Prepare/support/execute system, segment and element operation validation activities. This includes the definition of validation scenarios, plans or test cases and the procedure development and validation, testing, result reporting;
Develop/review/update Operations Plans and Operations Concept documents;
Preparation of SCTC and simulation;
Assist with the planning and coordination of GCS maintenance activities across both sites and GMS backup activities at GCC-D and providing;
Take over ground position/duty on call (support of routine, special and contingency operations during launch and routine phase, including the provision of shift and on-call support);
Provide support to ground segment users for preparation or execution operations activities;
Monitor performance of ground services andHandle incidents and anomaly;
Prepare/support/execute software engineering activities;
Provide Engineer Support to assess Galileo Control Segment enhancements/modifications and Provide inputs to enhancement of operations processesand gives input to enhancement of operations processes;
Maintain and develop subject matter expert (SME) training material and give training;
Prepare, support and participate in simulation campaigns and SCTCs.;
Follow up/support reviews, milestones and project meetings;
Generate reports as required.
Skills & Experience
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
University degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Electric or Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering;
Good knowledge ofGalileo applicable standards (GSWS);
Experience in ground operations preparation and execution;
Knowledge of development, verification and testing of satellite monitoring and control infrastructure;
Comfortable using Linux;
Demonstrable experience on Security aspects;
Regular trips to GCC in Italy are required;
Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
