    Job Description

    Maintaining, supporting and evolving (where required) the assigned applications and databases;

    Definition design, implementation, testing, deployment and operations of new applications (mainly web) and databases – mainly administrative oriented to support all directorate requirements;

    Identification of requirement for interfacing with ESA Corporate applications and design and implementation of related interfaces with directorate-specific local applications, in coordination with related design authorities in ESA;

    Support to user community in their day-to-day usage of the applications/databases, in particular regarding data collection, productions of ad-hoc reports, etc;

    Perform business process analysis for potential local applications and systems;

    Produce requirements and project documentation in close liaison with the customers and in line with the project management procedures;

    Provision of consultancy in information systems related aspects such as applications, technology, development methodologies, etc.

    The Contractor shall provide support to the user community to:

    Provide assistance in the technical and functional use of the applications under the Contractor’s responsibility;

    Address requests related to applications and products out of his scope to the relevant support groups keeping the user informed;

    The contractor shall provide expert advice regarding current system functionality and respond to:

    Requests for manipulation of the database (e.g. generation of specific script for data upload, application configuration, etc.);

    Requests for data extraction, ad-hoc reports, etc;

    Troubleshooting applications error not requiring the intervention of the development team.
