    Job Description

    Telespazio VEGA is responsible for the Sentinel 3 Satellite Operations Engineer Service with our client EUMETSAT and must guarantee that the operational activities are timely, successfully and efficiently executed at all times. Therefore we are looking for a motivated, talented and experienced SOE to complement our existing service team to ensure we can provide the full redundancy required to ensure year round operations.

    Telespazio VEGA is looking for a candidate to complete the 5 person service team, which is involved in all operational activities of the 2 satellite S-3 constellation and which will be provided with exciting challenges to optimize spacecraft operations services.

     

    Responsibilities / Duties

    Support the routine operations of the Sentinel 3A and 3B satellites. Provision of operational expertise to the relevant system and/or platform and instrument. Maintain the corresponding operations documentation and flight procedures.

    Perform trending and performance analysis on the corresponding subsystems and instruments. Investigation into satellite anomalies.

    Participation in satellite on-call support rota. Identification and support to the implementation of system and process improvements concerning the spacecraft operations team responsibilities.

    Support the systems and operations preparation of Sentinel 6 satellite. Support the system and operations preparation of other LEO satellites.

     

    Qualifications / Experience

    University (or similar) degree.

    Several years of experience working in the operations preparation and routine operations of satellite mission control systems for LEO satellite systems. 

    Experience in the operation and development of satellite ground segment facilities.

    Several years of experience operating a spacecraft mission control system based on SCOS-2000

     

    Essential Skills

    Experience in the specification of system and operational concepts.

    Familiarity with On-Board Control Procedures and On-Board Position Scheduler concepts.

     

    Desirable Skills

    Experience or familiarity with the Sentinel-3 mission is an advantage.
