    Job Description

SENIOR SPACE SYSTEMS ENGINEER to OHB Sweden

OHB Sweden is developing complete satellites and subsystems for many different space application, for example Communication, Earth Observation, Weather and Science. We are now starting several new projects and are involved in some of the most advanced state-of-the-art missions such as space debris removal and asteroid exploration.

As Senior Space System Engineer you will be part of the team that develop our satellite system and will work in a generalist role together with experts in different specialist disciplines. We are looking for experienced Space System Engineers that can take overall responsibility for a complete satellite architecture.

    Position requirements:

    ·      Masters’ degree in Spacecraft or equivalent field

    ·      5-7 years relevant work experience

    ·      Advantageous: Mechanical/Thermal, Electrical/RF/EMC, Data handling/Software, Embedded Systems, Attitude and orbit control / Orbital mechanics, ECSS

    ·      Fluent in English and technical documentation in English

All of our projects involve a very broad range of expertise, covering for example design, mechanical analysis, software, operations, radiation, EMC, electrical, thermal, testing, and integration. This requires a broad and flexible skill set for all those working at OHB Sweden.

The work is mostly executed in a typical office environment, but the hardware is handled in our own clean rooms, electrical labs, propulsion labs, and environmental labs. So being comfortable in a typical engineering office/project environment, whilst also being comfortable in a lab environment, is very important.

Team working and ability to work autonomously are key to a typical day. OHB Sweden is not a large company, and much of the expertise lies on the Engineers and Technicians to handle these tasks quickly, efficiently and work closely with your colleagues! So practical solutions and a “doer” attitude are necessary. Some travel may be required (3-5 trips per year).

If you feel confident that you meet the above requirements, have a strong desire to contribute to space development, are keen on taking responsibility, and can enjoy spending your working hours with contagiously nerdy people, then we are looking forward to hearing from you!

Please submit your application no later than 15 December 2019. You apply via https://ahexecutives.se/jobs/231-senior-space-system-engineer/

    Interviews are held on-going.

In this recruitment OHB Sweden is cooperating with AH Executives. For further information, please contact responsible recruiter Inez Almquist, inez.almquist@ahexecutives.se
