    How Do We Work

    In contrast to conventional Aerospace development we decided to adopt modern standard methodologies from software development.

    We work as a scaled agile team that is passionate about the product it delivers. We are keen on taking responsibility for and ownership of what we build. The team itself has adopted the mentality and extended the slogan of “You own it, you build it, you run it”.

    Our main back-end technology is Java 8 and spring boot. Most of our core services operate via REST and Websockets. You will need to understand our persistent databases and how to efficient craft microservices. You will also need to maintain the deployment pipelines from time to time. You will be working in true full-stack fashion. As such you can very well decide yourself which technologies fit your solution the best.

    The Product

    At Telespazio VEGA Deutschland we are currently developing a one-stop solution for spacecraft ground systems and operations. From demo missions to multi-satellite constellation operations, it offers flexible, modular solutions, sized exactly to fit the current need.

    Our solution provides an End-to-End platform that uses the Single-Source-of-Truth concept to allow efficient interactions among all Enable sub-domains as well as third party systems. The whole platform is cloud-native on AWS and is a completely outstanding offering on the space market. It is a game changer especially for New Space companies and StartUps.

    We are now looking for someone to develop our Mission Analysis and simulations solution.

    This position is based at our Headquarter in Darmstadt. It is full-time and permanent and expected starting date will be around October 2020.

    Qualification:

    - University degree in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science

    - Alternatively professional pedigree in an adjacent field

    - Experience in Mission Conceptualization and Analysis, alternatively understanding for general data analysis with application in system design / engineering

    Essential Skills Technical:

    - Proficiency in Java 8 and SpringBoot

    - Proficiency in TypeScript and Angular 6

    - Understanding for microservice architecture and design

    - Ability and interest to conceptualize, design, implement, test and operate software

    Essential Skills Domain:

    - Understanding for the Process of Mission Analysis and Design

    - Experience in how Mission Analysis feeds into the Design of Space Systems and how it affects the Operations

    - Experience in System Engineering

    - Experience in modelling space environment, space systems

    Desireable:

    - Cloudformation

    - AWS localstack

    - Understanding how concurrent design works and is applied in space or other industries
