JOB TITLE: Bids Manager
REPORTING TO: Managing Director
This role requires a person with technical knowledge of the space industry and an understanding of the space ecosystem, who has experience of delivering/compiling all the key volumes for ESA and Non-ESA bids: technical, commercial, financial, implementation, management contractual and risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Commercial activity for existing and new business for all areas of the company
Managing and co-ordinating bids, which can range from 1 page quotations to full ESA bids
Research, writing and checking proposals Contract negotiation
Responding to customers and other stakeholders queries before, during and after the bid has been submitted
Researching current and future trends
Identifying opportunities on which to submit bids and feeding into the decision on whether to bid for the work
Devising a successful strategy and pinpointing the unique selling point for winning a bid whilst understanding the operating and profit margins
Understanding the specific requirements linked to both high reliability Space satellite and lo-cost access to the Space industry
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Essential:-
Qualification in electronic engineering or similar with experience in business management/development or
Qualification in business management/development with experience within EEE procurement and assembly
