We are expanding our team here in the UK within the Space sector to take on UK Satellite Control Centre projects.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will provide support and develop projects related to the area of control centres in the UK. These projects are based on GMV's software product suite. You will become familiar with them by initially working as part of the GMV team in Madrid, in the maintenance and evolution of Software for the control centre. Initial functions will include designing product updates, developing Software (in C++, Java, and other technologies), investigating issues, and preparing patches or new versions, operational customer support, etc. Subsequently, it will be more autonomously responsible for carrying out the same type of tasks for clients in the UK office.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for experts in Software Engineering with background and interest in Space and Aerospace working within Software development in C++ and/or Java.

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:

• Strong will and experience in teamwork;
• Autonomy and good communication skills;
• Experience within of other development programmes such as, REACT, Python, SpringBoot, Mysql, Architectures (Redis);
• Development of REST interfaces and service-oriented architectures;
• Technologies related to DevOps: Ansible, GIT, Jenkins/Bamboo.

The role will involve working in the UK defence sector. The applicant must already have SC security clearance, or be able to obtain security clearance to SC, under the UKSV clearance level requirements.
