We are looking for an Experimental Engineer to join the Propulsion team. Your team is composed of experienced professionals in plasma physics, mechanics, material science, electronics, fluidics. You will be responsible for carrying out experimental activities liked to the development of our Hall thrusters and other subsystems.
The selected candidate must prepare and perform the tests. These activities include the definition of the test hardware and software, installation of the experimental setup and the planification of the tests. Your main goal is to execute the test and extract meaningful information out of it. This information will be presented and shared with the development team in a very iterative and flexible way. You will also be responsible for the specification, design, upgrade and deployment of test setups.
Exotrail is looking for a pro-active candidate. The candidate must have hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, willing to experiment and to critically analyse the results. They shall have a Master's degree in an engineering field related to aerospace, mechanics or physics. The candidate should have 2+ years of experience, but junior profiles will also be considered.
In this position, you will be responsible of many of the experimental work done in Exotrail in collaboration with our electronics, fluidics and mechanical engineers and propulsion engineers. This position requires a high level of autonomy and very good communications skills. The candidate must always look for information to efficiently perform its various duties.
