About the position:
Within the Technical Projects Department, the Mechanical & Thermal Engineer contributes to the completion of projects by developing the mechanical and thermal architecture of antennas, which are key components for satellite communication. As a technical expert in their specialized field, they are responsible for the technical choices proposed for projects in the design office and provide technical advice and support to other departments.
Missions:
Within the Design Office:
- Intervene at various stages: studies, preliminary and detailed design, organization of manufacturing and testing in direct collaboration with partners; preparation for industrialization;
- Implement the necessary analyses and tests to verify their robustness against severe environmental constraints, such as launch vibrations and thermoelastic constraints during its orbital life;
- Validate/arbitrate proposed technical solutions and approve them;
- Collaborate as a team with other Anywaves engineers who have complementary expertise (RF, prototyping, and testing);
- Maintain direct communication with Anywaves' industrialization and production departments, suppliers, technical partners (manufacturing, assembly, testing), and customers (industrial clients, space agencies, etc.);
- Contribute to the skill development of teams in your specialized field.
In support of the Innovation & Pre-sales Department (on bids and tenders in their specialized field):
- Participate in pre-sales meetings with clients and provide technical advice to guide them towards a solution that aligns with constraints (performance, lead time, budget, quality requirements) and the Anywaves roadmap;
- Conduct preliminary Mech-Thermal sizing of specific antennas to verify technical feasibility using simulation tools;
- Contribute to defining the Mech-Thermal priorities and specifications for future Anywaves products within the roadmap working group;
- Take part in technical "GO/NO GO" decisions for upcoming projects within the engineering department.
In support of Sales Department:
- Address technical inquiries and participate in sales meetings to provide technical assistance to the client.
As part of Project development:
- Take part in review meetings for development milestones.
Profile required:
Engineer or Ph.D. in Mechanical & Thermal Engineering, ideally with experience in mechanisms; the future holder of the position has already worked for more than five years in R&D, preferably in the aerospace field. He/she stands out for their significant contributions to highly technical projects and has expertise in CAD tools and mechanical analysis. Their ability to work effectively in a team with a knowledge-sharing approach is well established, as is their rigor and synthesis skills. Inquisitive, possessing a strong service-oriented mindset and a sense of responsibility, both towards clients and partners, Anywaves' future mechanical and thermal specialist will have a team spirit and excellent communication skills.
