At Pipistrel Vertical Solutions d.o.o. we are looking for Senior Aircraft Structural Engineer to join the Structures department of the Pipistrel team.

Within Pipistrel, the structures department is responsible for the structural design and analysis of our products from conceptual phases up to certification and in-service maintenance.

What will your main scope be?

Conduct the needed analysis for the sizing, design, analysis and optimization of structural components and complete assemblies in the domains of development, production support and in-service support;
Plan and participate in structural tests, vibration and other system dynamic tests, material tests, and other;
Develop and maintain numerical tools needed to meet the task objectives;
Prepare the necessary documentation (simulation results, calculation procedures, test plans and reports, software documentation, project deliverables, certification, and qualification documentation, etc.).

What do we expect from the candidate?

Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred) with relevant experiences in structures and materials science;
Several years (minimum 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis (within the aviation industry is an advantage);
Is comfortable reviewing and approving aircraft structure repair drawings;
Experience with FEM software (Python/MATLAB/C++ would be an advantage);
Knowledge of applicable airworthiness regulations (experience with CS-23/25 is an advantage);
Has strong, written and spoken, communication skills in English;
Is a dynamic person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and good judgment;
Is self-starter, team player, well organized and customer oriented.
