We are looking for an engineer in the Quality Control team who will contribute to the environmental testing of various size satellites and subsystems. As part of this team, you will learn from senior colleagues, who will share their knowledge and experience. You will operate a thermal vacuum chamber and help the team with satellite hardware testing before the satellite is launched to orbit.

AS ENVIRONMENTAL TEST ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

  • Plan, execute and report satellite and RnD subsystems tests in TVAC (thermal vacuum chamber);
  • Conclude through testing how equipment, sub-assemblies, and components will operate in space;
  • Carry out functional tests during satellite operation inside TVAC;
  • Write, read and review technical documents;
  • Design and improve high quality and timely test cases;
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of testing processes and strategies;
  • Get an understanding of satellite subsystems‘ hardware and software functionalities;
  • Analyse quality parameters;
  • Be identifying, analysing, and reporting errors to development teams;
  • Perform environmental tests at our in-house facility and outsourced locations abroad.

WE EXPECT YOU TO:

  • Have basic electronics knowledge;
  • Have at least 1 year experience working with manual or automated testing processes and test tools;
  • Have can-do, positive attitude and view challenges as opportunities to learn;
  • Be able to see the bigger picture and navigate towards it;
  • Be results-oriented and offer proactive approach, willingness to perform daily hands-on activities;
  • Be able to act and adapt in a fast-changing environment;
  • Be proficient in English language (both oral and written);
  • Be representative, when it comes to live communication with the customer;
  • Be able to work independently and escalate challenges if needed;
  • Be able to travel around abroad and execute environmental tests at outsourced facilities.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Bug-intolerant, ability to predict, report and even fix possible bugs;
  • Knowledge of working with Atlassian products (Jira/Confluence/etc.);
  • Basic programming/scripting knowledge (C++, C, C#, Python);
  • Great sense of humour!
