We are looking for an AIT Engineer to join our dynamic team in Delft, and drive our production capabilities for the new space industry.

The role is site based as it requires assembling, integration and testing of our products and subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead activities related to assembly, integration, and testing, ensuring adherence to cost, quality, and schedule standards;
  • Together with the development team, create AIT plans and procedures, including test reports and documenting any lessons learned;
  • Drive continuous improvement activities and efficiencies related to AIT procedures and standards;
  • Perform incoming and outgoing inspections of components and products;
  • Prepare for and conduct component environmental tests, including mechanical, thermal, and EMC;
  • Review test results and raise non-conformance reports as necessary;
  • Maintain the inventory and inventory system accurately;
  • Support review designs to consider implications for AIT phase;
  • Management of the clean room, ensuring is properly maintained and keeping safe working practices.

Skills required:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent work experience;
  • High level of practical hands-on experience in Assembly, Manufacturing, and Integration of complex systems;
  • Experience in system and sub-system testing including test design, procedure definitions, procurement, assembly, execution, analysis & reporting;
  • Previous experience working in a clean room environment;
  • Detail-oriented, focused, and meticulous;
  • Ability to work independently as well as to effectively collaborate within cross cultural teams;
  • Competent IT skills including Office software;
  • Proficient in English, both verbally and written.

Skills desired:

  • Degree is in Mechanical and/or Electronic engineering;
  • Experience in the build and test of spacecraft components and sub-systems;
  • Relevant space industry experience;
  • Knowledge or awareness of ESA ECSS standards (or equivalent international standards) related to verification and testing.
