Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and perform tests of propulsion system and components with the support of the propulsion design team;
  • Define test article and test bench setup, procedures and sequences, manage red lines, and incorporate updates during test campaigns;
  • Enforce safety policies during test planning, operations and lead risk assessment analysis and associated mitigation actions;
  • Plan and optimize checkout, processing, testing and post-test operations in close cooperation with the test bench engineer;
  • Perform troubleshooting to resolve hardware and test operations issues;
  • Work hand in hand with the MAIT teams to complete integration, installation, and checkout of the test article;
  • Contribute to the long-term V&V test plan against system requirements by optimizing all test objectives during development and qualification phases.

What we would love to see from you

  • Master’s degree in aerospace or related engineering field with 1+ years of current design experience;
  • Familiarity with thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, thermomechanics, and control systems principles;
  • Experience of integrating and safely operating complex fluid systems, including high-pressure gas, storable propellants, flammables;
  • Familiarity with data/control systems, specifically data acquisition hardware, and control software;
  • Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary troubleshooting.
