The Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) is in charge of the development of the Luxembourg space sector, including the coordination of the "" initiative. It is responsible of representing Luxembourg in international organizations such as the European Space Agency (ESA), and for space-related matters at the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN). In close cooperation with other public and private actors, the LSA is also supporting bilateral relations between Luxembourg and other countries, e.g. in the frame of official visits and economic missions.

As part of our development, we are recruiting a: Manager - Technologies (m/f), (Permanent contract, ref: MT).

Your main missions

  • Manage relations with a portfolio of Luxembourgish companies and public research organizations in various space-related technological domains and facilitate; collaboration opportunities at the national and international level;
  • Support private and public organizations in the preparation of applications for ESA/EU funding;
  • Analyze business plans and funding requests of companies that are already established in Luxembourg or that will potentially establish in Luxembourg;
  • Inform the actors on the directions taken in the technology domain in Europe and on the different possibilities for financing their projects at national and European levels;
  • Represent and defend the position and interests of Luxembourg in relevant committees and working groups at the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Union (EU) in coordination with the competent Ministries and other organizations;
  • Promote the sector nationally and internationally.

Your profile

You hold an Engineering or Scientific Master degree with at least 5 years of work experience preferably in the industrial sector or in companies. The position will involve travelling abroad (20-25%), sometimes on short notice, and therefore requires a certain degree of flexibility and availability.

Furthermore, you show following competencies:

  • Interest and experience in a broad range of technologies and concepts applied in the space industry;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel, with a results-driven approach, along with strong interpersonal and writing skills;
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to formulate advanced concepts, understand different topics in detail and synthesize quickly;
  • Experience in analyzing business plans and understanding company financials;
  • Awareness of institutional and commercial space markets is an asset;
  • Fluency in English and French (oral and written) is mandatory; the knowledge of German and Luxembourgish are a plus.
