WHAT CHALLENGE ARE YOU GOING TO FACE?

You will develop software for the Ground Control Segment of space missions (satellites, planetary or interstellar probes, rovers, space stations…). You will participate in the development of projects for the European Space Agency, as part of an international team distributed across several European countries, like: Poland, Spain, Germany. Your tasks will include:

• Development of Mission Control System functionalities for Earth Observation and Robotic missions;
• Development of components for enabling the interaction between Mission Control System and 3^rd party systems, like Robotic Asset Simulators;
• Extension of Mission Operation Infrastructure systems for work with custom tools (e.g. for Machine Learning, Security Analysis);
• Maintenance of Mission Operation Infrastructure systems.

You will work with the technologies used in ESA ground segments:

• Java, Eclipse RCP, Maven, Nexus, Karaf, Jenkins, Git, Linux, Jira, Confluence.

For this position, we are looking for engineering graduates with experience and interest in:

• Java - 1 year of experience;
• OOP;
• Junit;
• Maven;
• Continuous Integration;
• Problem solving skills;
• Git;
• Linux;
• Communication skills;
• English - at least B2 level;
• Availability to travel.

Nice to have:

• Eclipse RCP;
• Nexus;
• Karaf;
• Jenkins;
• ActiveMQ;
• Zookeeper;
• PostgreSQL;
• Hadoop.
